Guidelines
Announce the continuation of the program to all staff.
- Discuss the program in a staff meeting or at your discretion.
Encourage staff to nominate peers for recognition.
- Refer to the nomination form on www.opsbrand.org/30waystosayyay
- Call for nominations at the beginning of every month.
- Ask school leaders to encourage staff to submit nomination forms.
- Consider staff who demonstrate our organizational values in their daily service:
(Equity - Results - Leadership - Accountability - Joy)
Recognize one staff member every week throughout the 2023-24 school year.
Use the 30 Ways to Say Yay! poster as a guideline for ideas and rewards for showing appreciation.
Communicate the recognition of employees in team meetings, newsletters and/or team emails. Celebrate with your school community by posting on social media using #OPSProud and #30WaystoSayYay. Please be sure to tag the company who donated the item or gift card.

At the end of the year, we will ask for your feedback regarding the program. Your feedback and participation will determine the continuation or modification of the program in years to come. District Communications will replenish your swag items each fall with community donations and Omaha Public Schools swag.

Winner Sign
A winner sign is in every toolkit and should be used to take a photo of the recipient and the prize they selected.
Include your school’s logo by downloading the template linked below. Contact Courtne Turner if you don’t have your logo.
Social Media Tips
When taking photos from your phone, consider holding phone vertically and use portrait mode.
Be mindful what/who is in the background. Best practice would be to pose winner in front of school logo.
Keep your posts creative and professional.
Thank and tag the business sponsor in your post.
